As someone who founded a media agency, I’ve had an eventful journey in entrepreneurship, facing both highs and lows. Besides my business pursuits, I’ve spent the last ten years involved in youth work, mainly as a sports coach and football club welfare officer. During this time, I’ve noticed a growing concern about mental health among young people, especially exacerbated by recent events. I’ve also witnessed the impact of the social media on young people and the profound impact it has on the way young people connect, communicate and consume information.
These realisations motivated me to establish Foundation Mental Health alongside Sharon, working together with a small network of other mental health professionals, where we focus on helping young individuals build their mental resilience. Through workshops and discussions, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact of providing them with the necessary tools to navigate life’s challenges confidently.
Working with schools has been particularly gratifying, as I’ve been able to directly interact with students and offer them valuable insights and strategies to enhance their mental well-being. Each interaction reinforces my dedication to this cause, as I witness the difference it makes in their lives.
Foundation Mental Health is more than just a professional endeavor; it’s a personal mission driven by genuine passion. Seeing the growth in young minds is incredibly fulfilling, and I remain committed to fostering resilience and spreading awareness to make a meaningful difference in their lives, one school at a time.
